The VIMATHERM heat exchanger uses several plate profiles, which allows to solve all thermal and hydraulic (pressure drop) issues, with the smallest possible heat transfert surface, totally adapted to our clients’ requirements.
A soft theta profil, the SC plate and a hard theta profil, the HC plate.
Type of plates | USE | APPLACTION LIMITS |

HC | Excellent capacity of exchange which use smaller necessary surfaces, to use each time it is possible. |
- Unadvisable in presence of suspended solids.
- The pressure drop is higher than with other plates. |
SC | Used in certain cases, either to reduce the pressure drop or to adjust the temperature on an intermediary frame. |
- The capacity of the exchanger is inferior than with HC plates.
- Same limits as for HC plates if there are some suspended solids. |
With these two theta profil, it will be possible to realise four different pack of plates.
